The Golden Rule of the BOE Draft Decree
According to the draft amendment of the Regulation, residence may be proven by "any public or private document, or a combination of both, provided they include personal data that allows identity to be verified".
This means the Government won't accept any anonymous ticket or paper. If the document doesn't show your printed name or photo, its legal value is void.

Common Questions about Documents
Does a B work contract (without a contract) count as evidence?▼
Yes. You can submit any private document, but its probative value is low compared to the Administration. Our legal team will help support that employment relationship with other documents at the same time (for example, bank movements or documented witnesses).
What if I was outside Spain for a few days?▼
The law requires that the 5 months be "ininterrupted". Very brief occasional departures may be problematic and will require strict justification and legal defense in your file.
I went to my country's consulate in Spain to certify my criminal record. Does it count?▼
NO. A criminal record certified by your consulate in Spain will be rejected. Immigration requires the original criminal record certificate to come with the Hague Apostille or diplomatic legalisation directly from the country of origin.
Do I have to submit original documents?▼
The process will be telematic, so everything will be submitted digitised. However, you must keep the originals in case the Immigration Office requires you to show them physically. We will digitise your "Iron Folder" under the Government's technical standards.
Is a transport pass valid as proof of stay?▼
Only if it is nominative (includes your name and photo). Anonymous transport passes have no legal validity to prove your identity and stay to Immigration.
Do money remittances sent to my country count as stay evidence?▼
Yes. They are considered "Silver Evidence". They are very valuable if submitted together with other indications, as they show that you had funds and were physically in a call centre or bank in Spain.
